Yogyakarta, 12–13 September 2026 — On Saturday and Sunday, 12–13 September 2026, the Korean Language and Culture Student Association of UGM (HIMAHARA) held its annual Fellowship Training with the theme 우리의 순간, Dreams Come True (“Our Moment, Dreams Come True”), inspired by the girl group aespa’s song Dreams Come True. The first day was held in Soegondo Room 707. Meanwhile, the second day took place at Greenland Margono and its surrounding area. This event was attended by all 2026 Korean Language and Culture students, with the 2024 and 2025 cohorts serving as the organizing committee.

On the first day, Fellowship Training 2026 featured Bunga Matahari from the Class of 2023 (BUFS, Global Korea Scholarship Awardee 2026) and Firmansyah Haryo Yudhoyono from the Class of 2022 (Yonsei University, Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship Awardee 2025) as guest speakers for the Talk Show session. Through this session, the seniors shared information about the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at UGM and their experiences in South Korea through the scholarship programs mentioned above. Following the Talk Show session, Fellowship Training 2026 was also enlivened by various performances from the 2026 freshmen, including singing, drama, and dance performances that were highly entertaining.

Fellowship Training 2026 continued on 13 September 2026. The second day’s activities included making name tags using Hangul letter cutouts, group exercise, Random Play Dance, and various exciting games such as Guess K-Pop Songs, Guess the Korean Words, Tang-Su-Yuk Game, Anything by Category, Hangul Tongue Twister, Battle Gonggi, 007빵, and concluded with Water Mugunghwa.

Fellowship Training 2026 is one of HIMAHARA’s annual work programs aimed at strengthening the sense of togetherness and introducing the Korean Language and Culture Study Program to the Class of 2026 students. In addition, this activity serves as a platform for students to gain information about opportunities they can take advantage of in the future, as well as to build a supportive community throughout their academic journey.
