November 25, 2022 – Korean Language and Culture Study Program collaborated with Sejong Haktang to hold a joint public lecture. This public lecture was held in 2 sessions at 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. with different materials and speakers.

The first session was a calligraphy class conducted by Mr. Kim Min Ho. This class was attended by about 100 students from different batches, including the class of 2018. Mr. Kim Min Ho started his material by teaching how to write Hangeul calligraphy. He then continued by distributing learning materials such as postcards, flashcards, markers, and practice paper. The students were asked to practice writing calligraphy directly on the learning media.

The second class continued with the Koreanophone class taught by Mr. Cho Young Han. This class was also attended by nearly 100 students. Students also had the opportunity to learn more about Korea in this class.

The public lecture program ended with the distribution of Oesolhoe scholarships to 12 selected students from 3 different classes. 4 each from the Class of 2019, the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021. These scholarships were also given to some of the Sejong Haktang students who received them both in person and symbolically through Zoom.

After the event, the students had the opportunity to have dinner with the Korean Study Program faculty and Korea Foundation guest faculty.
