On March 8, 2023, Korean Culture Center Indonesia announced the holding of Online Sing Cover Contest 2023. UGM Korean Language and Culture Study Program sent one of its students to participate in the contest, namely Mustafiah Luthfiani Wibowo from the class of 2019. Mustafiah has previously been active in the choir of PARAMADAYA FIB UGM as well as in group singing with Katarsis (one of the extracurricular students of UGM Korean Language and Culture Study Program). Not only that, at the Korean Days 2022 event, Mustafiah also enlivened the event by performing as one of the band singers. She is known to have a beautiful voice and loves to sing. She also often uploads singing cover videos with her friends on her Instagram social media page.

Mustafiah’s efforts did not betray the results. Based on the judges’ evaluation and the public voting, Mustafiah was announced as the first winner of the sing cover competition on March 31, 2023. She won 4 of the latest K-Pop albums. Here are Mustafiah’s impressions and messages from participating in the competition,

“Alhamdulillah, I was able to win the first place in the online singing cover competition held by KCCI some time ago. I feel happy because I can add experience in the field of vocal attraction. In the beginning, I was not confident with my singing because I just recorded and took the video overnight. But with everyone’s support, I became more confident. The message I want to give is, don’t be afraid to try new things and always process.

Mustafiah (2019)

In her performance video, Mustafiah sings the song “더이상 사랑은 없는 거야 (Can’t Believe Love Again)” by A Hyung (아형). If you’re curious, here’s a video of Mustafiah covering the song,

Very soothing, isn’t it? Congratulations to Mustafiah for winning the contest! Very cool and her voice is very beautiful.
