Saturday and Sunday, September 14–15, 2024 – The Korean Language Student Association at UGM organized the Fellowship Training event under the theme “빛나는 꿈,” meaning “Shining Dreams.” The event took place over two days in Lecture Room 707 at Soegondo Building, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UGM, and at the Greenland Margono grounds. It was attended by students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts of the Korean Language and Culture Program.
On the first day, the Fellowship Training 2024 began with a talk show session featuring speakers from the 2022 cohort. In this session, the seniors shared insights about student exchange opportunities to South Korea and provided tips and tricks for taking the TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean). Additionally, new students gained a deeper understanding of the Korean Language and Culture Program at UGM. The event continued with entertaining performances by first-year students from the 2024 cohort, adding excitement to the day.
The event resumed on September 15, 2024, with a range of fun activities. These included group exercise, Random Play Dance, and various games such as Cup Tower Building, Hangeul Writing, Hangeul Relay, Telepathy Game, Inmul Quiz, Tuho Quiz, Tongue Twister, and concluded with the Mystery Box challenge.
The Fellowship Training 2024 is one of HIMAHARA’s (Korean Language Student Association) flagship programs aimed at fostering a sense of togetherness and introducing the Korean Language and Culture Program to the 2024 cohort. Additionally, it serves as a platform for students to gain valuable information about future opportunities and establish a supportive academic community.
