Korean Language and Culture Program Studies held a public lecture titled “50 Years of South Korea-Indonesia Cooperation Relations” and scholarship awarding of the Kagama Korea Scholarship and the Oesolhoe Foundation. Before public lectures began, a scholarship award ceremony was held first. Scholarship obtained by a number of Korean Language and Culture students from the Class of 2020, 2021, and 2022 who were excellent at academics. The Kagama Korea scholarship was awarded by Prof. Yang Seung-Yoon, as well as the awarding of the Oesolhoe Foundation scholarship carried out by Mr. Suray Agung Nugroho, S.S., M.A., Ph.D.
After the scholarship handover ceremony, the agenda for that day continued with lectures general. This public lecture raised the theme “50 Years of Korean Cooperation Relations South Korea-Indonesia” with the main speaker Prof. Yang Seung-Yoon, with a guest speaker, Dr. Chang Young Min. The public lecture opened by a lecturer delivered by Dr. Chang Young Min regarding the real society in South Korea and comparison to Indonesia. Next, the presentation session was continued by Prof. Yang Seung-Yoon regarding the history of Korean cooperative relations between South Korea and Indonesia. Apart from the event, Prof. Drs. M. Mukhtasar Syamsuddin, M.Hum., Ph.D of Arts also had the opportunity to share his experiences in studying Korean Studies, especially about Korean philosophy.
This closed by awarding certificates to Prof. Yang Seung-Yoon and Dr. Chang YoungMin, as well as a group photo.
