Lecturer of UGM Korean Language and Culture Study Program Represents Indonesia in International Conference at Seoul National University

Seoul, February 14-15, 2025 – One of the lecturers of UGM Korean Language and Culture Study Program participated as a presenter in an international academic conference entitled “Seoul National University Korean Language and Literature Research Institute K-Academic Diffusion Research Center International Academic Conference”. The international conference was organized by the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center, Department of Korean Language and Literature, Seoul National University on February 14-15, 2025. The conference aimed to promote academic exchange and collaboration related to Korean literature diffusion research. The event featured scholars from various countries, including Indonesia, China, and Japan, who presented their research on the development and influence of Korean literature in their respective countries.

Febriani Elfida Trihtarani, a lecturer in the Korean Language and Culture Study Program, was one of the presenters from Indonesia, presenting a research paper on the dynamics of Korean literature research in Indonesia. The presentation session was filled by various participants, ranging from Korean participants to foreign participants. In addition to presentation sessions, the conference was also filled with academic discussions on Korean language and literature that allowed interaction between participants and researchers from various countries.

“It was fun and insightful because I was able to gain new knowledge about how Korean literature is researched and taught both inside and outside Korea. Not only that, this conference also provided an opportunity to gain new networks in the field of Korean literature.” – Febriani

The conference supports quality education through academic exchange and research collaboration on Korean literature, as well as broadening global academic horizons and strengthening international research networks in the field of Korean language and literature. Through academic research and discussion, the conference encourages innovation in the study of Korean language and literature, contributing to the development of science. The participation of lecturers in this conference shows that academic research from Indonesia is increasingly taken into account in the international arena, especially in the field of Korean Language and Culture.
