Cultural exchange activities between the Korean Language and Culture Study Program (BKK) and Kyungpook National University (KNU) are annual routine activities, which started in 2015. Usually, these activities are conducted offline during the holidays before UGM starts teaching and learning activities in the spring semester. However, since the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, this activity has started to be conducted online. For this year, the cultural exchange activities will also be held online from January 09-20, 2023. The participants of the activity consisted of the BKK team and the KNU team, where the KNU team consisted of 18 students from various departments, 1 university staff member and 1 supervisor. November 22, 2022 – UGM Korean Language and Culture Study Program and Korindo Foundation held the Korindo Foundation Scholarship Awarding Event for Higher Education for the period 2022/2023.

This event was held through the Zoom platform. The event was opened by Mr. Seo Jeongsuk as the Secretary General of Korindo Foundation and Mr. Setiadi as the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM at 14:00 WIB.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, UGM’s Korean Language and Culture Program sent five of its students to participate in an exchange student program abroad. Not only Korea but also Italy was among the destinations for this semester’s exchange students. The universities that hosted the students this time were the University of Padua, Korea University, Kyungpook National University, Jeonbuk National University, and Busan University of Foreign Studies.
