Greetings from South Korea!

Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) is a prominent university located in the Jeollabuk-do province of South Korea. It is one of the leading higher education institutions in the country and has a strong reputation for academic excellence, research, and innovation.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) Exchange Program Spring 2026 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

PROGRAM OFFERED 

  • Dormitory Scholarship: each participating student from UGM will receive a dormitory scholarship of 500,000 KRW (approximately USD 350).
    This scholarship applies to all students under the current offer of up to 100 participants.
  • 3 Korean Language Courses: Up to 3 designated Korean language courses provided per semester
  • Part Time Job Opportunity: Opportunities for Students to Participate in Part-Time Jobs (Hourly Wage Approx. 10,000 won)
  • Class Registration: Free to all Classes (Except for some classes that the department restricts its registration)

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be proficient in English and/or Korean

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Official Academic Transcript
  2. English Language Proficiency
  3. Korean Language Proficiency (If applicable)
  4. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  5. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  6. Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor
  7. Curriculum Vitae
  8. Motivation Letter
  9. Colored Copy of Passport
  10. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
  11. Passport Size Photo

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 24 November 2025 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Jeonbuk National University and you may proceed to the online application no later than 05 December 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from Jeonbuk National University.
