Scholarship Distribution Ceremony by Korindo Foundation for the 2024/2025 Period

September 26, 2024 – The Korean Language and Culture Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully held the Scholarship Distribution Ceremony for the 2024/2025 period in collaboration with the Korindo Foundation.

The event commenced with a welcome by the MC, who introduced representatives from the Korindo Foundation and the leadership of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at UGM. Following the opening, the event featured a Hansamchum dance performance and a speech from the Dean of FIB UGM, Prof. Dr. Setiadi, M.Si. The Secretary-General of the Korindo Foundation, Mr. Lee Sung Hoon, also delivered a speech.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the recipients of the Korindo Foundation scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year, awarded to the following students of the Korean Language and Culture Study Program:

  1. Ana Fatimah
  2. Difta Maulifa Sakina
  3. Eunike Serafia Nugraeni Sunarto
  4. Sabrina Zalfaa Arisanti
  5. Salma Allayda Rahmayanti

The scholarship recipients also shared their impressions and gratitude:

 

“Hello, I’m Ana. As a recipient of the Korindo Foundation scholarship, I am truly grateful for this opportunity in this semester. It has been an unexpected and delightful experience. I hope this scholarship motivates me to study Korean language and culture even more enthusiastically and to excel further, both academically and non-academically. I also hope to become someone who positively impacts those around me. Thank you so much to the Korindo Foundation, and I wish you continued success.” – Ana

“Receiving this scholarship as a student of the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at UGM is a deeply meaningful experience. It not only provides financial support but also inspires me to continue striving for excellence and achieving my goals. I am sincerely thankful for this support and committed to making the most of this opportunity, both academically and in other activities. I hope this scholarship program can help and inspire more students to make positive contributions to society.” – Difta

“Being one of the Korindo scholarship recipients for 2024 is a great honor for me. I am deeply grateful to the Korindo Foundation and the Korean Language and Culture Study Program for granting this valuable opportunity to me and my peers. I will utilize this scholarship wisely to support my studies and use it as motivation to improve my achievements both academically and non-academically. Once again, thank you very much.”- Eunike

“I feel deeply honored and grateful to have received this scholarship from the Korindo Foundation in my third semester. This experience will always remain a cherished memory and serve as motivation to continue developing as a student who excels in both academic and non-academic areas, while also spreading positive energy to those around me. I extend my sincerest gratitude to the Korindo Foundation for choosing me as one of the scholarship recipients.” -Sabrina

“As a Korindo scholarship recipient, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the trust and support given to me. This scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also gives me additional motivation to keep growing and pursue my dream career. I hope the Korindo Foundation will continue supporting other students in the future. Once again, thank you for giving me this opportunity. I will work hard to realize my dreams, which I hope will have a positive impact on society.” -Salma

The event concluded with a group photo session involving all scholarship recipients, scholarship alumni, representatives from the Korindo Foundation, and the leadership of FIB UGM. With the success of this event, it is hoped that the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at UGM will continue to foster strong collaborations with the Korindo Foundation in the future.
