South Korea, July 13–16, 2026 — Alfiana Amrin Rosyadi, S.S., M.A., a lecturer at the Korean Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, was selected to participate in the Korea Foundation E-School Faculty Workshop alongside 30 lecturers from various countries. Held over four days in Seoul and Jeju Island, South Korea, the workshop served as a platform for educators to exchange experiences and explore innovative teaching strategies that address the evolving needs of students in the digital era.
Throughout the workshop, Alfiana actively participated in the training sessions and was also invited to serve as a presenter representing Group 2, delivering a presentation on Korean language teaching using the Nearpod platform in collaboration with The Korean Society of Bilingualism. In addition, she was selected as one of the presenters in the E-School Class Best Practice session.
During her presentation, Alfiana shared the Study Program’s experience in implementing experiential learning through field visits to various Korean companies for students enrolled in the Korean Business Language course in 2024. She also presented the Study Program’s initiative of organizing seminars featuring alumni from diverse professional backgrounds. These activities were designed to provide students with practical insights into the application of Korean language skills in the workplace while broadening their understanding of the wide range of career opportunities available after graduation.
Her participation as a presenter in these two sessions provided an opportunity to showcase the innovative teaching practices developed at Universitas Gadjah Mada while fostering discussions on more interactive, collaborative, and student-centered learning approaches among international participants.
During the workshop, Alfiana also took the opportunity to meet with E-School representatives from several Korean universities, including Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Ewha Womans University, and Sogang University, to explore potential collaborations in developing courses and strengthening academic cooperation for the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Alfiana’s participation in the Korea Foundation E-School Faculty Workshop is expected to contribute to the continuous enhancement of teaching quality within the Korean Language and Culture Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada. The knowledge, experience, and international networks gained through the program will support the development of more innovative learning practices and further strengthen the Study Program’s global academic partnerships.
