FIB UGM, February 22, 2025 – The 79th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FIB UGM), held on February 22, 2025, was celebrated with a variety of events involving the entire FIB UGM community, including alumni from various study programs. One of the highlights was the opportunity for alumni to showcase their entrepreneurial ventures through designated exhibition stands.

Among the participating alumni was Nining Setyaningsih, a graduate of the Korean Language and Culture Program, who introduced her fashion business, uwustudio. This fashion brand, managed by Nining herself, features contemporary and unique design concepts that reflect innovation in the creative industry, particularly in fashion design and products. The development of this creative business supports the strengthening of infrastructure in the creative sector, in line with Goal 9 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the uwustudio booth, Nining showcased a variety of her fashion products, including laptop bags, tote bags, skirts, clothing, wallets, and more. Each item displayed the distinctive uwustudio style, combining beautiful designs with user comfort. Bright colors and fresh patterns are signature elements of each collection, making uwustudio products especially appealing to young people who want to look stylish.

Through her participation in the Dies Natalis celebration, Nining not only introduced her fashion products but also demonstrated her talent for creating trendy and original designs. This event served as a platform for alumni to present their post-graduation achievements, interact with visitors, and strengthen their bond with FIB UGM. Moreover, the 79th Dies Natalis offered opportunities for alumni to collaborate and establish partnerships with various stakeholders within the FIB UGM community—an important step toward achieving SDG Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The 79th Anniversary celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for alumni to share their talents and creativity, while also opening doors for future collaborations. It was a significant moment that showcased how alumni continue to grow, contribute, and inspire the next generation.
